Drugs charges for Asian nationals
TWO Asian nationals are to face trial on drugs charges.
North Korean woman Kyungwha Park, 48, of Church Road, Tweedmouth, and Chinese man Qing Huang, 34, of Chirnside, appeared before Berwick magistrates following drugs raids at homes in the North. Both pleaded not guilty to one charge of production of cannabis.
Chinese man Hua Zheng, 41, who lives at the same address as Huang in Chirnside, also appeared on the same charge in connection with the raids.
The trio were remanded in custody and will come back before the court on November 19.
