Closure date announced for Berwick Woolworths
The Woolworths store in Berwick will close on December 27, it has been announced.
Shops in Alnwick, Hexham and Morpeth will close on December 30, but the shop in Blyth will be among the last the shut on January 5.
Administrators confirmed last week that all Woolworths stores would close, at the likely cost of 27,000 jobs, after failing to secure a buyer for the business as a going concern.
